▣ Paperman (2012) poster for Disney’s new short
Paperman, Disney’s new short, is set to play before Wreck-It Ralph on November 2, 2012. The short combines hand drawn and CG animation in a way that has never been used before. While it seems difficult to explain exactly how the two mediums are meshed together and what effect this will have on the film, critics have all agreed that this new innovation from the House of Mouse is sure to create waves in the animation world.

Newt was originally scheduled to be released in summer of 2011, eventually pushed back to late 2012. Due to is striking similarities to the movie Rio, Pixar quietly cancelled the film and Brave took it’s release date.
As of March 23, 2012, Disney Legend Glen Keane has left the Walt Disney animation studios. Glen served as a mentor to several Disney artists and a hero to those aspiring to work for the company. This post is in honor of his outstanding work in animation, his ability to breathe life into that which was once without and his dedication to the Walt Disney company.
